Le Domaine De La Mer

The place is dirty and not worth the money. We stay here in august for a week and had moisture in the bathroom and in one of the bedrooms. The technicians came and had a look at it, but just mentioned that this is a known problem and requires renovation, but beside spraying some disinfection on the moisture there is nothing they can do. There was no word of apologies or compensation offered by the management team for the issue. “They do not care”, which could essentially be also the title for this review. This not only valid for the conditions of the rooms but also for the entire place with is filthy. The walkways between the different locations (accommodation, beach, pool, reception, etc.) are sandy and dusty roads shared with the vehicles. Not only do you carry all that dust into your rooms, but they also do not care about dog dirt and women’s sanitary pads laying around. Obviously with all that dirt in your rooms that cleaning ladies have to do a hell of a job, rather impossible job, which of course led to our room not being ready at 4pm upon arrival. Also be aware that if you have a “garden view” you are looking into a dry and deserted piece of forest hill. Not to mention the overpriced restaurant (13€ for a 0.5l beer). The entire place is not maintained properly. During out 7 days stay there was always at least one thing not working: Internet (2 day), electricity (1 day), AC (1 day), water (1 day). Only minor plus point is the proximity to the beach, but also do not expect too much. Not sure if it is because of the many boats anchoring in close distance, but the water it not very clear, there is not fish to spot whatsoever. Stay far away, there is much better places.

Still at loss of words for the experience at Domaine de la Mer. The property is in a shockingly terrible condition and the prices charged for what is offered are rip off to say the least. We had booked for four nights and were so shocked about everything we found upon arrival that we decided to leave the next morning. Since we had payed already for all four nights we tried to talk to them to reimburse us for the three nights not used. Long story short, even though they re-rented our room for two out of the three nights they refused to reimburse us more than one night. I am speechless by this amount of greed taking advantage and striving to make more profit even after your guest has had a horrible experience staying with you. Other „highlights“ of our stay: - our room was dirty upon arrival with red liquid dripping out of the AC, bathroom in terrible condition (toilet paper holder almost falling off, shower half broken…) - beach bar had no capacity for entire stay - restaurant not existent - messy property: the view from our balcony onto broken bbq, broken sunbed, scattered clothes and shoes Stay as far away as possible from this property.

We have been in apartment Tamaris 2 - so one one the most beautiful apartment as the hotel said. Air condidion didn't work only fan grind the air. Beach was closing, so if you want go morning for a walk it is not possible. Staff didn't know English, German etc. Menu in restaurant, signs, informations only in French. Sataff not helpful at all - I felt like a ghots not a guest. Restaurant: menu onlny in French, menu the same at morning, aftrenoon and evening. Staff can speak only French. It was open when they want. So we must eat somewhere else. But the worst thing is the dirty and the insects especially in our beds. I think there were bedbugs. Our family has got a lot of bites especially our little doughter. We come back earlier because the place was horrible. They shouldn't be a hotel only a cheap class camping and only for French people. The place looks only nice on their website. Before you reserve the room take a look at the photos of bugs which you will have in your room and bites.
